"The Nereid Avenue Station is located near the famous Bissel Gardens, founded in 1993. It is a community garden that provides organic vegetables for organizations such as City Harvest, NYC Charity, and Senior Centers. The garden serves as an education center for adults and children as well as a resource center for the Parks Department and Operation Green Thumb. I have created nature designs for this station. I think the use of flowers, trees, and animals are appropriate subjects for this site."--Noel Copeland. Source: cuny.edu.
