Cudahy Date: 1958 Notes: After the West Chester Line was abandoned in 1954, some service was maintained on that portion of the old line that was double-tracked, a distance of just a few miles beyond the junction with the Ardmore Line. Here a fan trip, using center entrance cars, operates over the last portion of the old line in 1958. (In 2008 Penn Fruit is long gone- site of Shops @ Manoa Center- but the building at far right center is still there at NE corner West Chester Pike and Eagle Rd.) Viewed (this week/total): 1 / 1589 |
