Lorimer Street station is the transfer point between the IND Crosstown ("G") Line and the Canarsie Line. At the west end of the station is a maze of ramps, stairways and passages which connect the two lines. There is a slight curve at the platform's east end. Much construction is currently going on, with the exits proper closed off for renovation. Access to the station is via the IND Metropolitan-Grand Street "G" station entrances. There is a mezzanine at the east end, the west exit is inaccessible due to the construction. Mosaic band predominates browns, white and light blue with light grey, bronze and slate blue at the edges; there are also terra-cotta brown and bright yellow accents.
