Location: 14th Street ยท Installed: 1989

This 96 foot long mural was installed in the 14th St./8th Avenue station mezzanine from 1989 to 1995. The work "tried to capture the energy of moving bodies rushing through the subway corridor by using calligraphic brushstrokes derived from [the artist's] study of Chinese calligraphy." Since 1998, the mural has been installed in the lobby of P.S./I.S. 89 in Battery Park City. Source: rosslewisartist.com
