"I am both an installation artist and an author illustrator of children's books. I tapped into my experience as a storyteller for this project. I designed images representing stories from six different areas of Latin America: The Condor Prince, from Peru; How the Birds Brought the Rain, from Mexico; The King That Wanted to Touch the Moon, from Dominica; How the Sea Began, from The Dominican Republic and Maria Cenicienta: A Puerto Rican Cinderella. The designs were painted in oil on vellum paper."--George Crespo. Source: cuny.edu
