Ceramic tile murals and mosaic frieze. "Empress Voyage 2/27/1784" celebrates the arrival of the first ship from China to bring merchandise to New York. The motifs in the individual ceramic panels are stylized interpretations of Chinese merchandise popular in colonial New York -- tea pots, teak stools, etc. (Thanks to Harry Matthews.)
