A southbound train which has just discharged all passengers at 46th Street is taking this seldom-used crossover to the northbound track. The operator will then change ends and make a run from 46th to downtown. The transit worker who got to be switchman can be seen next to his automobile, which was permitted to be parked in a no-parking zone for the duration.
